AQUACEL^® Ag, silver-impregnated antimicrobial absorbent dressing, Hydrofiber^® and ionic silver, soft, sterile, non -It is a woven pad or strip-shaped dressing.
The silver in the dressing kills a wide spectrum of wound bacteria and helps to create an antimicrobial environment.
The dressing absorbs high amounts of wound fluid and bacteria, literally covering the wound surface. It forms a soft and cohesive gel that covers, provides a moist environment and helps to remove dead tissues from the wound (autolytic debridement).
The moist wound environment and control of wound bacteria support the wound healing process and help reduce the risk of infection in the wound.
AQUACEL^® Ag offers the power of ionic silver combined with the unique gelling properties of Hydrofiber^® technology.
AQUACEL^® Ag dressing contains ionic silver, MRSA, VRE and Pseudomon It kills many types of pathogens that can cause infection, including as aeruginosa, and helps reduce the bioburden of the wound.

Indications;
AQUACEL^{®< /sup> Ag Hydrofiber^® dressing is the primary dressing for medium to heavy exuding wounds, when infection is present or there is a high risk of infection. AQUACEL^® Ag Hydrofiber^® dressing can be used under medical supervision in the management of the following conditions.
Wounds with infection or increased risk of infection.
Partial loss (2. degree) burns.
Diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers (venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers and leg ulcers of mixed etiology) and pressure ulcers (partial/complete loss).
Surgical wounds.
Traumatic wounds .
Wounds prone to bleeding such as wounds that have undergone mechanical or surgical debridement.
Exuding oncological wounds such as fungodias-cutaneous tumors, fungal carcinoma, cutaneous metastases, Kaposi's sarcoma and angiosarcoma.}
