Mechanism of action
Super absorbent particles absorb and retain large amounts of exudate. The fibers disperse exudate within the pad to maximize absorption. A high moisture vapor permeability contributes to its superior exudate management properties.
Composition
Biatain®< /SUP> It consists of a super absorbent hydrocapillary pad with a super, semi-permeable and water and bacteria-proof top film, a hydrocolloid component for adhesion, and a wound contact layer that does not adhere to the wound. There are both adhesive and non-adhesive models.
Usage
