The long-term silver release profile results in a homogeneous distribution of silver ions, creating a continuous antibacterial effect throughout the entire use period (up to 7 days).

Independent studies have proven that Biatain^® Ag is effective on bacteria commonly found in infected, non-healing wounds (3,4). Clinical studies have shown that infected wounds heal faster with Biatain^® Ag compared to other wound dressings, including other antibacterial dressings.

Continuously antibacterial effect throughout the entire period of use

Due to its long-term silver release profile, there is a continuous antibacterial effect throughout the entire wear time (up to 7 days).

Mechanism of action

In the presence of exudate, silver is continuously released into the wound bed for up to 7 days.

Composition

Biatain^® Ag Adhesive is a patented soft and flexible absorbent polyurethane foam with a silver complex evenly distributed throughout the foam matrix .

Use

Biatain^® Ag Sticky; It can be used for a wide variety of exuding wounds with delayed healing due to bacteria or at risk of infection, including leg ulcers, pressure sores, second-degree burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions. Biatain^® Ag Adhesive can be used in combination with compression therapy.
