Product composition
Biatain® Alginate Ag is an alginate dressing composed of alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (KMS) and an ionic silver complex.
Using
Biatain® Alginate Ag can be used on all moderate to heavily exuding partial to full thickness wounds. Biatain® Alginate Ag can be used on wounds at risk of infection or infected wounds Biatain® Alginate Ag can be used under compression bandages Biatain® Alginate Ag should not be used on dry or slightly exuding wounds or to control heavy bleeding. Biatain® Alginate Ag is indicated for leg ulcers, pressure sores, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, traumatic wounds and second degree burns.
